About Write For The Cause

Write For The Cause is a storytelling blog dedicated to inspiring social change.

We believe that social change is possible. More importantly, we know that it is happening. Everyday, people are working tirelessly to advance equality through efforts to eradicate poverty, create parity in education, make sure that everyone has access to affordable and sustainable housing, foster economic development, fight for human rights and so much more. Communities are organizing. Nonprofits are innovating. The private and public sectors are partnering. Ideas are growing.

Despite the efforts of so many to create equality, many believe that real social change is not possible. We disagree with that sentiment, and Write For The Cause seeks to advance social change by highlighting ideas that are working.

We live in a time when information abounds, and sometimes the amount of data available for us to filter is overwhelming. Amongst all the news about things that are going wrong, it is often hard to find stories of things going right–or, more to the point, people working to make sure that wrongs become right.
